Muhammad Islamic Center of Greater Hartford(MICGH) is the First Masjid of the state of Connecticut, established in 1955. With time Muslim population is grown and in turn number of masjids around the area.
This center is located in a non muslim neighborhood and hence does not receive much audience with number of centers grown near residential areas.
MICGH has been engaged with Interfaith activities, Sunday School, Ramadan Iftars arrangement, Taraveeh behind hafiz-e-quran.
The goal of MICGH weekend school is to prepare young Muslim students to become successful and responsible American Muslim citizens. This goal is achieved by educating young minds in basic understanding of Islamic values.
